Nearly 20% of all West Hartford Public School students live in homes where English is not their primary language. In fact, there are over 74 languages are represented in our schools. West Hartford is home to the state’s largest population from Nepal. In addition, West Hartford has over 30 places to worship that represent all denominations.

West Hartford is also known as a ‘food mecca’ because our restaurants offer cuisines from around the world. Throughout the year, West Hartford has special events that celebrate the rich heritage of our residents.

We are united in our commitment to making West Hartford an inclusive town that is respectful and responsive to all residents. Our public schools and town government are committed toward advancing equity, honoring diversity and fostering inclusiveness in all area in programs, practices and services.
